Diploma in Healthcare Management Level 6

This Diploma in Healthcare Management Level 6 (Accredited by ATHE) qualifications has been designed to be accessible without artificial barriers that restrict access and progression. Learners will be expected to hold the following:

• Learners who have demonstrated some ability and possess Qualifications at Level 5 and
• Age: 16+

OR

• work experience in a business environment and demonstrate ambition with clear career goals;
• Level 6 qualification in another discipline and want to develop their careers in management.

In certain circumstances, learners with considerable experience but No formal qualifications may be considered, subject to interview and being able to demonstrate their ability to cope with the demands of the programme.

The qualification is offered in English.

The ATHE Diploma in Healthcare Management is a 120-credit qualification, Learners must complete the six mandatory units totalling 70credits. They must complete either Managing Finance in the Public Sector or Financial Decision Making for Managers. A further four or five units totalling a minimum of 50 credits from the list of optional units must be completed to achieve a minimum of 120 credits for the Diploma.

• Financial Decision Making for Managers

Optional units :

Learners must complete a further 4 or 5 units from the list below to achieve a minimum of 120

• Risk Management
• Manage Sustainability in an Organisation
• Strategic Planning
• Managing Stakeholder Engagement
• Leading Organisational Equality and Diversity

This qualifications at RQF Level 6 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to:

• GCE AS/A Levels
